About Generalshift Roofing and How It Works
Who We Are
Generalshift Roofing is a referral service. We help homeowners in De Soto and the De Soto area reach an independent local roofing provider. We do not own a roofing company. We do not climb ladders. Providers do the work.
Why We Exist
Finding a roofer takes time. You search. You scroll. You leave messages and wait. Meanwhile, the roof keeps aging. Storms in this region are rough. Hail, high wind, and big temperature swings all wear a roof down.
We built Generalshift Roofing to cut the search short. Start while the problem is small. Request a callback to be pointed to a provider who works near you.
How Providers Are Matched
You tell us about the roof. How old is it? What kind of home is it? What went wrong? Then we point you to a provider in the network who fits the job and serves your area.
That provider reaches out to you. Availability varies, and many providers can respond quickly. Request a callback to check provider availability.
What We Expect From Providers
Providers in our network are independent businesses. We ask them to:
- Hold the licenses and insurance that your state or town requires
- Give a written estimate
- Explain the work in plain words
- Answer your questions without pressure
- Respect your time and your home
Still, always ask to see proof of license and insurance. Check it yourself before you sign.
What We Do Not Do
We keep our role small on purpose.
- We do not do the roofing work.
- We do not set prices. Each provider sets their own.
- We do not push you to hire anyone.
- We do not decide insurance claims.
- We do not handle small repairs. Requests here are for new roofs and full replacement.
How We Are Paid
Providers in the network may pay Generalshift Roofing a referral fee when we connect them with a homeowner. Generalshift Roofing does not charge homeowners a fee for the referral. You pay the provider you choose. The terms are in their written estimate.
Because prices differ, we suggest you compare more than one estimate. Look at the scope of work, the materials, and the timeline, not just the total.
Compare, Then Decide
There is no rush. A provider can look at your roof, explain what they see, and give you numbers. Then you take your time. If you say no, that is fine. There is no obligation.
Some policies may cover sudden damage, such as hail. Check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
